Once you have identified the need for a home lift, the journey from the first phone call through to having your lift installed is surprisingly simple and straightforward. Here, at the Home Lift Experts, we outline the eight steps from start to finish so you know exactly what to expect.
1. Contact us
Get the ball rolling by getting in touch with us to talk over your requirements and we will arrange for one of our experts to visit your home. You can contact us over the phone or via the website in which case we will respond to you by email or with a call – whichever you prefer.
2. We will visit you
One of our consultants will visit you at your home at a time that suits you. They will talk over your needs, look at the suitability of the space, take measurements and show you various suitable options. There are different lifts for different needs and our experts will be able to make personalised recommendations specific to you.
For example if you are looking for a lift for everyday living, a Stiltz Home Lift would suit you down to the ground. With its small footprint and self-supporting design it can be situated almost anywhere in the home, and can carry up to three people.
If you would like a lift with a touch of luxury to suit a designer home, then a Lifton Home Lift might be the best option. Like the Stiltz lift it takes up minimal space and is stand-alone, but with its elegant styling, and attention to detail, a Lifton lift can add a wow-factor to your home.
An Aritico Home Lift offers a more flexible option as it can travel between more than two floors, making it the practical choice for people in a town house or those with a basement or attic room and it is possible to customise it so you can make sure it suits the style of your home.
There are many considerations when choosing a lift, and this consultation will take away the guess work to make sure you make an informed choice and purchase exactly the right lift for you.
3. Place your order
Following your home visit you will be provided with a quote for the work to be carried out. Once you have read it through and confirmed you are happy to proceed your order will be placed.
4. Technical survey
It is at this stage that the site survey is carried out to look specifically at the position and location of the build, to take detailed measurements and to ensure any specific requirements are taken into account.
5. Building work takes place
Our builders carry out any work that needs to be done prior to the installation of the lift. An aperture will be cut for the lift to travel through along with any other necessary work such as reinforcements or small adaptations to the surrounding space.
6. Installation
The most exciting stage of the purchasing process is the day when your new lift is installed. Our fitters will take delivery of the various components, build the lift in location and ensure all the mechanisms are working perfectly. This can take as little as just one days work.
7. After Sales service
You can rest assured that our service to you doesn’t end with the installation of your lift. The free 12-month warranty includes a helpful customer service helpline available 24/7, and even includes a free one year service.
8. Warranty
If you wish to increase the length of your warranty after the initial 12 month period we offer an extended warranty for added peace of mind.
